About Me

Age 74, born in Champaign- Urbana ,Illinois. Raised in Champaign with 3 brothers, 1 older, 2 younger.
Married from 1955 to 1967, had 3 children, 2 girls, and 1 boy. All children are now married and I have 7 grandchildren.
In the summer of 2008 I moved to Chicago to be near family, as they all live in Cook county. I am very busy learning Chicago all over again as I did live in the suburbs in the 50's and 60's. Now I am a city dweller and enjoying the lake front and museums in the area.

Interests & Hobbies

My favorite hobbies are gardening and reading.

Schools & Associations

Graduated from the Uni. of Illinois with an Education degree. Later went back to graduate school for a Masters.
Since retiring I have been busy volunteering at various hospitals ( now at Chicago Children's Hosp.); very involved with my church in various activities; and last year was on a committee for the Money Smart program in Champaign.

Jobs & Careers

Lived in several towns when married, but in "67 moved back to Champaign where I taught school for 32 years full time, and another 10 years as a substitute.
