Important Tips

  • If a soiled brief is being replaced, remove it and clean your groin and buttocks thoroughly.
  • Dispose of soiled briefs in a sanitary manner. Do not flush.
  • Wash hands after handling soiled briefs.
  • Do not get powder, lotion or oil on tape tabs. These substances may cause the tabs not to stick properly.
  • Please, always seek professional advice from your physician or healthcare professional if you or someone you care for is experiencing bladder control problems.

To Put DEPEND® Fitted Maximum Protection On While Standing

Unfold a fresh brief.

Identify the inside and outside of the product.

  • The inside of a DEPEND® Fitted Maximum Protection (the side that is placed against your skin) is a white absorbent layer.
  • The outside has a moisture-proof outer cover with a wetness indicator.

Identify the front and back of the product.

  • The back of the brief has six refastenable tapes-three on each side flap.
  • The flaps on the front of the brief do not have tapes.

Stand approximately two inches from a wall. Place the waistband on the back of the brief between your waist and the wall (as shown in the illustration at left). The white absorbent layer should be facing your skin and the moisture-proof outer cover should be facing the wall. Carefully move back against the brief so that the brief is held in place between your body and the wall.

Bring the front of the brief up between your legs. The front and back edges of the brief should be pulled to equal heights on the front and back of your waistline.

Adjust the brief to fit closely by pulling it snugly against your groin. Fasten the tape tabs onto the front flaps.

Adjust the brief for a close and comfortable fit.

  • Be sure to move any folds of skin-especially on your inner thigh-to prevent leaking and chafing.
  • Adjust fit by repositioning tape tabs.
